Atlas of tropical cyclones in the French Antilles
Guadeloupe  •  Martinique  •  Saint-Barthelemy  •  Saint-Martin

Depuis 1950 | 1851-1949 | 1635-1850

This part of the atlas lists and gives information about all the tropical cyclones (depressions, storms and hurricanes) that affected at least one of the French islands of the Lesser Antilles from 1851 to 1949. The selection is made from the official database HURDAT (HURricane DATabase) managed by the National Hurricane Center in Miami. Each phenomenon has an illustrated sheet and a report allowing a better understanding of its passage and its consequences on French territories as well as on other islands of the West Indies arc. There are stories or testimonials, articles from the local press of the time (in French or English language), reports or meteorological observations.
